Robert Picard

Robert Picard (born May 25, 1957) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman. He developed with the Montreal Juniors and Montreal Bleu Blanc Rouge from 1973 to 1977 before being selected 3rd overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1977 NHL Entry Draft. After three seasons in Washington, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for goaltender Mike Palmateer. Toronto sent him to the Montreal Canadiens for Michel Larocque in March 1981. In 1983 he was traded to the Winnipeg Jets, where he was paired on defense with Randy Carlyle.
