Rolland Lawrence

Rolland Lawrence (born March 24, 1951) played cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons from 1973 to 1980, spending his entire NFL career with the club. A product of Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, Lawrence was a key member of Atlanta's 1977 "Grits Blitz" defense. That season he recorded seven interceptions and three fumble recoveries, earning his only Pro Bowl and All-Pro selections. His 39 career interceptions remain the franchise record. Lawrence was inducted as a charter member of the Tabor College Hall of Fame in 1999 and was the first Tabor player to have his jersey number (3) retired.
