Ron Sedlbauer

Ron Sedlbauer is a former professional ice hockey left winger who played seven seasons in the National Hockey League. Selected 23rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1974 NHL amateur draft, he appeared in 430 career NHL games and recorded 143 goals and 86 assists for 229 points. In the 1978–79 season he scored 40 goals while registering only 16 assists, a mark that stood as the modern-day record for fewest assists in a 40-or-more goal season for 26 seasons until Rick Nash tied it in 2003–04. Midway through the 1979–80 season, Vancouver traded him to the Chicago Black Hawks; the Toronto Maple Leafs later purchased his contract in February 1981.
