Rudy Hulswitt

Rudolph Edward "Rudy" Hulswitt (February 23, 1877 – January 16, 1950) was born in Newport, Kentucky. His professional career ran from 1899 through 1910, placing him squarely in the nineteenth-century professional ranks, and he is most closely identified with the Cincinnati Reds of the NL. After his major-league days ended in 1910, he continued in professional ball through 1922. He was listed at 165 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. For collectors, his most recognized appearance is in the iconic T206 White Border tobacco set issued 1909-11 by the American Tobacco Company. He died on January 16, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky and was interred at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
