Russell Henry Snyder (born June 22, 1934, Oak, Nebraska) was a Major League Baseball outfielder whose career spanned from 1959 to 1970. He broke into professional ball in 1953 in the New York Yankees' organization, leading the Class D Sooner State League in batting average (.432) and hits (240). Traded to the Kansas City Athletics in 1959, he finished third in American League Rookie of the Year voting that season, batting .313 in 73 games. The Baltimore Orioles acquired him in a seven-player deal in 1961; he batted .305 to lead the club in 1962 and was a member of Baltimore's 1966 World Series championship team.
