Scotty Bowman

William Scott Bowman (born September 18, 1933) is a Canadian former NHL head coach who holds the record for most wins in league history, with 1,244 regular-season victories and 223 in the playoffs. He coached the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Detroit Red Wings, winning nine Stanley Cup championships as a head coach — five with Montreal (1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979), one with Pittsburgh (1992), and three with Detroit (1997, 1998, 2002). He is the only head coach to lead three different franchises to Stanley Cup titles. He later served as senior advisor of hockey operations for the Chicago Blackhawks until July 2022.
