Sheldon Kannegiesser

Sheldon Kannegiesser (born August 15, 1947) is a Canadian defenseman who played 366 games in the National Hockey League across parts of the 1970s. He skated for the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Vancouver Canucks before retiring in 1978. His brother Gordon also played professional hockey. After his playing career, Kannegiesser authored an autobiography written entirely in verse, "Warriors of Winter: Rhymes of a Blueliner Balladeer," and settled in North Bay, Ontario.
