Sid Youngelman

Dossier
Sidney Youngelman (December 1, 1931 – December 15, 1991) was a professional football lineman who played college football at the University of Alabama before embarking on a career that spanned both the NFL and AFL. In the NFL he suited up for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cleveland Browns; he also played for the New York Titans and Buffalo Bills in the AFL. A product of Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, Youngelman was a two-sport co-captain in 1949 — only the third athlete in school history to hold that distinction — and earned the Morris Kaufman Memorial Trophy for character, leadership, and ability.
