Robert S. "Sonny" Parker (born March 22, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois) played small forward and shooting guard in the NBA. After earning All-City, All-State, and All-Public League honors at Chicago's Farragut High School, he spent two years at Mineral Area College, where he was a two-time All-American and the school's all-time leading scorer before transferring to Texas A&M University. Parker was selected in the first round of the 1976 NBA Draft and spent his professional career with the Golden State Warriors. Following his retirement, he founded the Sonny Parker Youth Foundation in Chicago to support inner-city students.
