Steve Meilinger

Stephen Frank Meilinger (December 12, 1930 – September 14, 2015) played end in the National Football League after attending the University of Kentucky and being selected in the first round of the 1954 NFL Draft. He played for the Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, and Pittsburgh Steelers during his professional career. After football, Meilinger joined the United States Marshals Service, where he was among the original agents of the Federal Witness Protection Program and rose to chief deputy for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
