Stu Lantz

Stuart Burrell Lantz, born July 13, 1946, is an American former professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1968 until 1976.

Lantz attended Uniontown Area High School before accepting a basketball scholarship from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. In the 1966–67 season, he helped the Cornhuskers to their first 20-win season at 20–5, their first NIT Tournament bid, and a second-place finish in the Big Eight Conference. He became the school's first two-time All-Big Eight selection, leading Nebraska in scoring and rebounding in both the 1966–67 and 1967–68 seasons. He finished his college career averaging 16.9 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 48.5 percent.

Lantz was selected by the San Diego Rockets in the third round, first pick and 23rd overall, of the 1968 NBA draft. His professional career ran from 1968 to 1976.

In 1989, his number 22 jersey became the second retired by Nebraska. He was inducted into the Nebraska Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. Following his playing career, he became a television commentator for the Los Angeles Lakers, working on Spectrum SportsNet.
