Ted Kennedy

Dossier
Theodore Samuel "Teeder" Kennedy (December 12, 1925 – August 14, 2009) was a centre who spent his entire NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1943 to 1957, serving as team captain for eight seasons. Raised in Humberstone, Ontario (now Port Colborne), Kennedy became one of the anchors of the Maple Leafs' mid-century dominance, winning five Stanley Cups — a mark he reached first in NHL history alongside Turk Broda. He remains the last Maple Leaf to win the Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player until 2022. Kennedy was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966.
