Terry Crowley

Terrence Michael Crowley (born February 16, 1947) played in Major League Baseball from 1969 through 1983 as an outfielder, first baseman, and pinch hitter. He spent the bulk of his career with the Baltimore Orioles, serving primarily as a backup and specialist off the bench. Crowley was a member of the Orioles teams that won three consecutive American League pennants from 1969 to 1971 and the 1970 World Series. He accumulated 108 career pinch-hits, ranking 13th all-time through the 2011 season. He was also the first Oriole to serve as a designated hitter following the rule's implementation.
