Terry Metcalf

Terry Metcalf (born September 24, 1951) was a running back who spent six NFL seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals (five) and Washington Redskins (one), and three CFL seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. A Seattle native, he played college football at Everett Community College and Long Beach State, where he was also an All-American in the long jump. In the 1975 season (14 games), Metcalf set an NFL record with 2,462 combined yards. He finished his NFL career with 3,489 rushing yards, 2,457 receiving yards, and 36 touchdowns, and holds the record for most games with 250-plus all-purpose yards (7). He is the father of NFL receiver Eric Metcalf.
