Thomas John Beer (born December 21, 1944) played tight end at the University of Houston before joining the Denver Broncos of the AFL and later the Boston/New England Patriots of the NFL. Over three seasons with the Patriots (1970–1972), Beer appeared in 42 games, recording 25 receptions for 381 yards and three touchdowns. His longest reception was a 31-yard touchdown catch on October 24, 1971. He also contributed on special teams, returning kickoffs and recording a notable lateral to Carl Garrett during a 1970 contest against the Buffalo Bills.
