Tom Brookshier

Tom Brookshier (December 16, 1931 – January 29, 2010) grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, where he earned all-state honors in football, basketball, and baseball at Roswell High School. A three-year letterman at the University of Colorado, he played defensive back, fullback, and return specialist before the Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the tenth round of the 1953 NFL Draft. He played cornerback for Philadelphia for seven seasons, from 1953 to 1961. After his playing career he moved into broadcasting, pairing with Pat Summerall as part of CBS's primary NFL broadcast team during the 1970s.
