Thomas Edward Downey (January 1, 1884 - August 3, 1961). He was a native of Lewiston, Maine, listed in playing days at 5'10", 178 lbs. He was a switch-hitter and threw right-handed. His major-league career ran from 1909 through 1915, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds of the National League. His broader professional ledger — including minor-league seasons — extends from 1902 through 1919.
