Tom Sestak

Thomas Joseph Sestak (1936–1987) was a defensive tackle who played for the Buffalo Bills of the American Football League. Born in Gonzales, Texas, he played college football at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he lined up at tight end. The Bills selected him in the 17th round of the 1962 AFL draft — the Detroit Lions also drafted him that year in the 16th round — and converted him to defensive lineman, where his 6-foot-4 frame, speed, and strength made him a fit for the position. He earned a starting role as a rookie and was later named to the AFL All-Time Team.
