Walt Suggs

Walter "Walt" Suggs (May 15, 1939 – September 5, 2022) was an offensive and defensive lineman who played college football at Mississippi State University before entering professional football. He spent the bulk of his career with the Houston Oilers, playing in the American Football League from 1962 through 1969 and continuing with the team in the NFL in 1970 and 1971. Suggs demonstrated exceptional durability, appearing in 137 consecutive games. He was named an AFL All-Star in both 1967 and 1968, and played in the first professional football game held in the Houston Astrodome in 1968.
