Walter Allen Blair, known as "Heavy" (October 13, 1883 - August 20, 1948). He was a native of Landrus, Pennsylvania, listed in playing days at 6'0", 185 lbs. He batted right-handed and threw right-handed. His major-league career ran from 1907 through 1915, primarily with the New York Yankees of the American League. His broader professional ledger — including minor-league seasons — extends from 1903 through 1916. He also took the field as a major-league manager in 1915.
