William Edward Conroy (April 5, 1877 – December 6, 1959). A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he died in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Standing 5-foot-9 and listed at 158 pounds, batted right-handed and threw right. He worked the major leagues from 1901 through 1911, spending the bulk of his career with the New York Yankees of the American League. His professional career stretched from 1896 to 1917, bracketing his big-league time with seasons in the minors at both ends. His pre-war card record spans E254 Colgan's Chips, and T204 Ramly. He is interred at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Moorestown, New Jersey.
