Willi Plett

Willi Plett (born June 7, 1955, in Asunción, Paraguay) is a Canadian right winger who played 834 NHL games across parts of four franchises. Selected by the Atlanta Flames in the fifth round (80th overall) of the 1975 Amateur Draft, he won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league's top rookie in 1977 after helping the Tulsa Oilers claim the Adams Cup the previous season. He moved with the Flames to Calgary in 1980 and was traded to Minnesota in 1982, spending five seasons with the North Stars. He finished his career with one season in Boston, retiring in 1988.
