Robert Dabney Asher (born June 13, 1948) is an American former football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. He played college football at Vanderbilt, where he started every game over three seasons and earned first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors as a senior. The Cowboys acquired the draft choice used to select him in the second round of the 1970 NFL Draft. After a knee injury limited his rookie year, he was traded to the Bears in exchange for quarterback Jack Concannon and played four seasons in Chicago, starting every game in his first three years there.
