Charles Ernest Keller (September 12, 1916 - May 23, 1990) was an American Major League Baseball left fielder who played from 1939 through 1952, primarily for the New York Yankees, with two seasons for the Detroit Tigers. A native of Middletown, Maryland, he batted left-handed and played alongside Joe DiMaggio and Tommy Henrich in the Yankees outfield. Nicknamed "King Kong" for his power, he was a five-time All-Star. Over a 13-season career he batted .286 with 189 home runs and 760 runs batted in across 1,170 games, with a .410 on-base percentage and .518 slugging average. After retiring he raised harness-racing horses near his Maryland hometown.
