Harold Edward Joseph "Bullet Joe" Simpson (August 13, 1893 – December 26, 1973) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman. Nicknamed "Bullet" for his fast skating, he began his career in western Canada, playing for the Edmonton Eskimos. When the Western Hockey League ceased operations after the 1924–25 season, his contract was purchased by the New York Americans of the National Hockey League, for whom he played until 1931. He later coached the Americans from 1932 to 1935. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1963.
