John Rauch

John Rauch (August 20, 1927 - June 10, 2008) was an American football quarterback and coach. He was the starting quarterback at the University of Georgia from 1945, leading the Bulldogs to a 36-8-1 record over four seasons and leaving as college football's all-time passing leader with 4,044 yards. He entered the professional coaching ranks with the AFL's Oakland Raiders in 1963 and was promoted to head coach in 1966. In 1967 his team lost only once in the regular season and reached Super Bowl II, where it faced the Green Bay Packers; Rauch was named AFL Coach of the Year. He later coached the Buffalo Bills and held assistant roles with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.
