William Edward "Kitty" Bransfield (January 7, 1875 – May 1, 1947) was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. His professional career ran from 1898 through 1911, placing him squarely in the nineteenth-century professional ranks, and he is most closely identified with the Philadelphia Phillies of the NL. After his major-league days ended in 1911, he continued in professional ball through 1912. He was listed at 5'11" and 207 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed.
