Mal Hammack

Malcolm Eugene Hammack (June 19, 1933 – July 19, 2004) was an American football running back who played twelve seasons in the National Football League during the 1950s and 1960s. He played college football at the University of Florida and was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals in the third round of the 1955 NFL Draft. Hammack spent his career with the Chicago and St. Louis Cardinals, used primarily as a blocking fullback after an early stint at linebacker. Over his career he recorded 320 carries for 1,278 yards and seven touchdowns and was a captain of the team's special teams.
