Steven Michael Stone (born July 14, 1947) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1971 to 1981 for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, and Baltimore Orioles. His best season came in 1980 with the Orioles, when he went 25–7, set a club record for wins in a season, won 14 consecutive games at one point, and was named to his only All-Star team. That year he won the American League Cy Young Award and The Sporting News Pitcher of the Year Award. After retiring as a player, Stone became a broadcaster, serving as the color commentator for Chicago Cubs telecasts on WGN-TV from 1983 to 2004.
