Terry Hanratty (born 1948) is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League during the 1960s and 1970s. He played college football at Notre Dame, where he was a three-year starter and a two-time All-American, earning consensus honors in 1968. Paired with receiver Jim Seymour in a duo nicknamed "Fling and Cling," he led Notre Dame to the 1966 national championship and set school career records for completions, passing yards, and touchdown passes. Selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 1969 draft, he started briefly before backing up Terry Bradshaw, and won two Super Bowls as a reserve. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2025.
